Chicken and Pork Adobo

Servings 4 servings


  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 large bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons peppercorns, crushed
  • 1 large onion, sliced or chopped
  • 2 pounds meat (chicken and pork, cut into 2 inch cubes)
  • sea salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste


  • In a slow cooker, combine the first 7 ingredients, stirring to mix well.
  • Season meat with salt and pepper and add meat to slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 3 hours or LOW for 6 hours.
  • Remove bay leaves before serving.
