Caramelized Pork

Servings 4 people


  • Olive oil
  • 1 pound lean pork tenderloin cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 2 cloves garlic pressed
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper


  • Heat a large oil-coated skillet over medium-high heat; add pork slices and garlic and cook for 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until pork is browned on the outside and no longer pink in the center (6 to 8 minutes), turning occasionally; drain if necessary.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients and cook until mixture thickens and coats pork.


LC SERVING SUGGESTION: Faux-Tay-Toes (steam cauliflower till tender; drain; mash with butter, cream cheese and salt and pepper to taste till you get a mashed potatoes texture).
Add steamed baby Brussels sprouts tossed with a little butter and a dash of ground nutmeg.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Instead of Faux-Tay-Toes, serve steamed baby new potatoes tossed with butter and chopped parsley.
KOSHER: Use boneless skinless chicken thighs.
