Sweet Spiced Salmon

Servings 4 people


  • 2 tablespoons ghee melted, or use coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 4 skinless salmon fillets 6-oz.
  • 3 tablespoons raw honey


  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Spread melted ghee (or coconut oil) in a 9- x 11-inch baking pan; set aside. In a small bowl, combine spices and herbs (black pepper through oregano); sprinkle mixture evenly over salmon.
  • Place fillets in prepared pan and drizzle the honey over the top; bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.


SERVING SUGGESTION: Steamed asparagus and a big salad tossed with Leanne’s Basic Vinaigrette.
