Garlic and Mushroom Steak Salad

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 pound steak chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 cups baby arugula
  • 1/2 cup sliced radishes
  • 1/2 small red onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar


  • In a large skillet over medium heat, heat coconut oil.
  • To the skillet, add the next 4 ingredients (steak through salt and pepper) and cook for 10 minutes, until steak is to desired level of doneness and mushrooms are tender.
  • Allow to cool and set aside.
  • In a large bowl toss the steak mixture and the lettuce, radishes, and onion.
  • In a small bowl, whisk the remaining 3 ingredients (olive oil through vinegar) along with sea salt and
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  • Pour the dressing over the salad and serve.


SERVING SUGGESTION: Steamed asparagus.
