Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat; add chicken and cook until browned, turning once; transfer to a baking pan and sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper.
Place onion on top of the chicken then top up with apple wedges.
In a small bowl, combine honey and water; pour over apples then dot with remaining butter.
Cover baking dish with foil and bake for 35 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink in the center.
