drained and rinsed

low sodium beef broth

red wine
or low sodium beef broth
Coarse sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
to taste
Instructions
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sear beef 3 to 4 minutes until browned.
In a large slow cooker, add beef and remaining 13 ingredients (onions through pepper) and cook on low for 8 hours until beef is cooked through.
Notes
SERVING SUGGESTION:
Warm buttered corn muffins.
VEGETARIAN:
Use portobello mushrooms instead of beef chuck and adjust cook time.
GLUTEN FREE:
Make sure tomatoes, beef broth and red wine are gluten free.
